After Milan, we travel roughly 2 hours to Varenna.

This is one of the towns in Northern Italy’s famous Lake District, and the tourists were out in full force (although I cropped them out of a few shots [sorry, tourists!]).

The market vendors called out to us, while the adjoining antique market was much quieter.

And no wonder tourists come here–check out those views!

Yet another time when I wonder–“How much does property go for here?!”

Those who had more time took a ferry around the area.

It seemed as if every tourist in Varenna was slurping fast-melting gelato, and this was one time we didn’t mind caving in to herd mentality.
