A Stroll Around Palma

Let’s take a stroll around Palma ciudad. I’ll be your tour guide. Here we have:

Steps leading up to the walk around the cathedral

La Seu cathedral! It is unique because, unlike so many other cathedrals in Spain, it isn’t enveloped in a plaza and can be seen for quite a distance along the boardwalk

During the one and only chance I had to go inside the Cathedral, there was a wedding in progress. See that golden canopy? It was designed by Gaudí (and is there all the time, I’m told, not simply brought out for weddings)

Art along the paseo marítimo, or boardwalk

Elaborate façades abound, especially around the Plaza Mayor

Café culture is similar to what I’ve seen in other parts of Spain

Just wandering (but don’t worry, it’s difficult to get lost for too long)

The Bay of Palma as seen from above

One final shot with the cathedral, as seen from the top of the modern art museum

These are some of the highlights that the city has to offer! I encourage you to explore on your own, as well, ,as some of the most memorable experiences come from wandering around Palma’s twisty little streets.
